  10.        WebSpace Author is a new product, so this section discusses
  11.        additional features which you might not know about.  See
  12.        Chapter 4, "Known Bugs and Workarounds" for information on
  13.        known problems with this release.

  15.        You should also know that there is a complete WebSpace home
  16.        site, which has a page called "What's New".  This site can
  17.        be updated after we release this software to you, so it is a
  18.        good place to look for late-breaking news and updates.  The

  21.           +o Sample data is now installed with
  22.             webspace_author.data.sample.  Look in
  23.             /usr/share/data/models/webspace for several interesting
  24.             files, especially simpleFloor.wrl, fixerUpper.wrl, and
  25.             patioDepot/patioDepot.wrl.  fixerUpper.wrl is intended
  26.             to be a starting place for your own home world, and
  27.             also an exercise: try building the house on the left
  28.             from the parts on the right.

  30.           +o We strongly recommend that you install the optional
  31.             data subsystems mentioned in Chapter 1, Installation
  32.             Information -- Prerequisites.  These subsystems contain
  33.             a very large collection of sample 3D data as well as
  34.             texture maps.  Because these data subsystems are not
  35.             installed by default, you will want to read the
  36.             instructions in Chapter 1 to find out how to install
  37.             those subsystems.

  39.           +o "3D File Translators 1.1" adds automatic translation
  40.             from other 3D file formats when you install the
  41.             xlators_3d product.  The 1.1 release of 3D File
  42.             Translators Currently supports DXF, Alias, Obj, SLA,
  43.             and Softimage formats.
